Enroll in an internship course, with assistance from academic advising and academic
department
Seek out and apply to academic internships with the goal of having an internship placement
by the first day of class
Communicate internship search progress with faculty member and obtain approval from
internship course instructor
Communicate with Career Center to ensure their internship employer/community partner
site and opportunity is in the S4 Academic Database. Follows up with employer and
Career Center to ensure employer has completed all required paperwork and is in the
S4 database
Officially report a placement in S4 prior to beginning their internship hours

Communicate with students prior to the semester to guide them on finding internships appropriate
for the internship course
Manage and maintains S4 Academic Internship Database
Screen and onboard employer sites and opportunities into the S4 Academic Internship
Database
Act as point of contact for all students seeking academic internships and placing
in the S4 Database
Provide educational workshops on the internship process
Coordinate with departments and faculty to offer brief classroom drops to sophomore
and junior level courses to prepare students for their internship course
Lead effort in maintaining compliance with CSU policies as well as state and federal
law in regards to academic internships
Lead Academic Internship Council Meetings, Internship Campus Partners Team Channel
(faculty/staff facing), and ÌÇÐÄÉÙÅ® Internships – Front Desk Teams Channel (student
facing)
