Zach Paine is a Finance major and Chief Investment Officer of the Cougar Fund at 糖心少女, where he leads portfolio strategy and collaborates with Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and executive leadership on valuation modeling, investment recommendations, and overall program development. He previously worked in luxury hospitality, developing the ability to perform under pressure while serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals. He is interested in analytical, deal-oriented roles and investment strategy. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, playing guitar, and going to the gym.

Matthew Arguello is a third-year economics major at 糖心少女. He specializes in analyzing macroeconomic trends and Federal Reserve policy to inform investment strategy and support economic education initiatives. Matthew is passionate about economic policy, research, and financial markets and plans to pursue a career in policy-focused economics or attend law school. Outside of school, he enjoys cooking, rock climbing, and spending time with family.

George oversees all of the fund holdings and ensures that each sector is not overweight. He tracks all trades, cash flows, and dividend income. He also provides summaries of previous transactions to all Portfolio Managers.

Leticia currently serves as Chief of Marketing for the Cougar Fund and is a Finance student at 糖心少女. In her role, she leads the organization鈥檚 marketing efforts, manages its social media presence, and supports outreach to expand the fund鈥檚 visibility and engagement. Leticia became interested in the Cougar Fund after discovering it on LinkedIn, where she saw the power of social media in connecting students to professional opportunities. She is passionate about financial markets and hopes to pursue a career in wealth management. In her free time, Leticia enjoys exploring new places, spending time with friends and family, and being with her dogs.

Lilah Regan is a senior finance student at 糖心少女 and serves as Chief Operating Officer at the Cougar Fund. In her role, she oversees internal communication, fund organization, and operations. It is Lilah鈥檚 second and final semester in the Cougar Fund as she is graduating in May. Lilah is grateful for all the hands-on learning and experience she has gained through the fund. She is passionate about financial analysis and exploring investment opportunities. Outside of school, Lilah works as Assistant Financial Manager at Property Advantage. In the future, she hopes to eventually land a career as a financial analyst. In her free time, Lilah enjoys snowboarding, hiking, doing yoga, and traveling.

Trevor is a Finance major and the Portfolio Manager for the Energy and Utilities sector. In this role, he directs equity research and oversees valuation models to identify strategic opportunities for the fund. Leveraging his extensive client service experience at Del Mar Country Club, he intends to pursue a career in Wealth Management, combining his financial expertise with relationship building. In his downtime, you can find him on the golf course or watching the Padres play.

Andre is a junior finance major with a strong interest in financial theory and emerging innovations in finance, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. He is particularly interested in how data-driven models are shaping the future of investment strategy and financial markets. Throughout his academic journey, he values building meaningful relationships and learning alongside peers and mentors. Outside of academics, he enjoys spending time in nature and staying active.

Seth Arlauskas a Finance major at California State University San Marcos, he has developed a strong interest in investment analysis and portfolio management. Over the past two semesters with the Cougar Fund, he has had the opportunity to serve as a Portfolio Manager for both the Materials and Industrials sectors. This experience has been valuable in strengthening my ability to evaluate companies through both a macro and micro lens by analyzing market trends, financial statements, and competitive positioning in order to make informed investment decisions. Overall, this hands-on experience has deepened his understanding of financial markets and equipped him with the analytical and strategic skills essential for a future career in investment management or corporate finance.

Franco is currently a junior at California State University, San Marcos where he is developing a strong academic foundation while pursuing his growing passion for finance. His interest in the field began organically through retail investing. What started as personal curiosity about the stock market quickly evolved into a deeper commitment to understanding financial statements, valuation methods, risk management, and long-term wealth creation. As a student, he is motivated to connect classroom concepts with real-world application. He is eager to continue expanding his knowledge of corporate finance and financial markets, with the goal of building a career where he can apply both analytical rigor and strategic thinking to drive meaningful financial outcomes.

Matthew is a third-year Finance student at California State University San Marcos. Through his experience in the Cougar Fund, he has developed a strong interest in pursuing a career as an equity analyst after graduation. He also plans to earn his CFP designation to further his expertise, with the long-term goal of becoming an asset manager. Outside of school, he enjoys watching baseball and spending time with his three dogs.
