Business Status Application

Students Completing Pre-Business Courses in Spring 2026

Continuing Students Completing Pre-Business Courses in Spring 2026

Select the Business Status Application that corresponds to your business option and carefully fill it out:

  • The application is available now and the deadline to apply is April 3, 2026.  Applications received after this date will be placed on hold and may be processed after May 11, 2026 (Subject to seat availability).
  • If you are taking classes at a Community College, please attach evidence of enrollment (unofficial transcript) using the link in the application.  We cannot process your application unless we have this evidence.

Once we receive the completed application, and all requirements are met with at least a 2.65 GPA and a C or higher in each pre-business course, you will be granted conditional business status. This will allow you to enroll into upper division business courses. 

COBA Final Grades Deadline

The deadline to submit final grades from a community college for all students who applied for Fall 2026 Business Status is May 29, 2026. When final grades are available, please submit your unofficial transcript:

  • Failure to meet this deadline and/or all requirements for Business Status will result in your status being moved back to Pre-Business and subsequently dropped from any upper-division business courses you may have enrolled in for Fall 2026.  No exceptions will be made for late submissions.
  • In addition, please submit official transcripts to the Office of the Registrar so they can be posted to your Academic Requirement Report (ARR).

  • Students are only eligible to apply for Conditional Business Status once. If you do not meet all Pre-Business requirements after already being Conditional Business Status at the end of Fall 2026, you will not be able to apply again for Business Status until the end of the semester in which you successfully complete all requirements.

Incoming Fall 2026 Transfer Students and Continuing Students Completing Pre-Business Courses in Summer 2026

Do not submit your Business Status Application until after May 11, 2026.
