ACA to Core Benefits Overview

- MEDICAL PLANS
- Delta Dental Plans
The CSU covers 100% of the monthly dental premium for you and all eligible dependents under all available dental plan options. - VSP Vision Plans
The CSU pays 100% of the monthly vision premium for you and all eligible dependents under the Basic Plan. If you choose to upgrade to the Premier Plan, an additional monthly premium will apply based on the number of dependents enrolled. - FlexCash Program
If you have qualifying outside dental coverage, the CSU will pay you cash in lieu of enrolling in the offered CSU dental plans.
IMPORTANT:
Because you were previously offered a CSU Health Plan or FlexCash Health benefits under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), you are not eligible to enroll or change your current health plan election, unless you qualify under another permitting event, such as:- Involuntary Loss of outside health coverage (within 60-days of cancellation date)
- Late Enrollment (effective after a 90-day waiting period)
- Open Enrollment (effective January 1st of the following year)

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA):
Health Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA)
Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA)IMPORTANT:
Any account balance at the end of the plan year, and unclaimed through the reimbursement process will be forfeited, so plan your annual contribution according to your needs.
The FSA accounts do not automatically renew. You must enroll during the Open Enrollment period (mid-September through early October), to have an active account the following plan year. - CSU PAID GROUP INSURANCE
Enrollment in certain group coverages is automatic based on your Bargaining Unit.
You may choose to increase coverage amounts or add eligible dependents through voluntary programs. The exception is Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance, unless you are not eligible for the employer-paid LTD coverage.CSU Paid Group Life and AD&D Insurance
CSU Paid Group LTD Insurance - RETIREMENT PROGRAMS
Retirement Programs (Automatic Enrollment Based on Eligibility and overseen by the Payroll Department).
CalPERS
Membership Eligibility is a Full-Time appointment that exceeds a 6 month duration, Half-Time appointment (50 percent of more) that has a one year or longer duration, or hold prior CalPERS Membership with funds on deposit.
Part-Time, Seasonal, Temporary (PST)
Employees excluded from CalPERS Membership.The Payroll Department will notify employees that move from the PST to the CalPERS Retirement program.
Voluntary Supplemental Retirement Programs:
CSU 403(b) Program with Fidelity
457 & 401(k) Programs with Savings Plus - VOLUNTARY PROGRAMS
Enrollment is these voluntary programs is between you and the carrier, and monthly fees/contributions will be through payroll deduction.

Scholarshare 529 College Savings PlanEnrollment in these voluntary plans is available year-round, with the exception of the ARAG Legal Plan and Critical Illness/Accident Insurance, which require election within your initial 60-day enrollment period or during any Open Enrollment period.
