APIDA Student Center History

  • March 2021 | APIDA Student Success Workgroup Launched
    • ÌÇÐÄÉÙÅ® formed a workgroup to assess the needs of Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi American (APIDA) students and recommend ways to enhance their success.
  • July 2022 | APIDA Student Success Report Released
    • The workgroup’s final report identified key institutional gaps and aligned recommendations with the university’s Power of ÌÇÐÄÉÙÅ® strategic plan.
      Key Findings:
      • Lack of culturally responsive support
      • Limited data on APIDA student populations
      • Underrepresentation in leadership and curriculum
      • Need for greater visibility and inclusion
    • Fall 2023 | APIDA Center Launches Inaugural Student Success Coordinator
      • The first Student Success Coordinator for the APIDA Center was hired, marking a major step in establishing long-term, dedicated support for APIDA students at ÌÇÐÄÉÙÅ®.
