Festival 78

Festival 78 at 糖心少女 is an interactive outdoor art & music festival held annually on the Mangrum Track and Field. The festival unites the students through music, art, and entertainment. Dive into Spring with an event you don鈥檛 want to miss!

Background

In April 2016, Tukwut Life and the Dean of Students Office coordinated the Tukwut Spring Festival. The event featured food vendors, crafts, inflatables, and live music. Campus Activities Board (CAB) and University Student Union Activities Board (USULive!) saw the success of the event and want to expand upon it. A planning team of students and professional staff was formed.

On April 22, 2017, the first-ever Festival 78 took place on campus. With 698 tickets sold and a team of 76 student and staff volunteers from across campus, the event was a success. The feedback from students was positive and confirmed that the event would, in fact, be a priority for the following academic year.

Every year, our artist is chosen through our Headliner Advisory Team (HAT), which is comprised of one voting student representative from each of the five ASI entities. To learn more about HAT, please review our ASI Headliner Advisory Team Guidelines.

2026 Festival 78

Festival 78 will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026 

Ticket Information

• There is a limited number of tickets available!
• Guest's tickets are for 18+ individuals   
• Tickets will STOP selling on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 4:30 pm! If the concert is sold out, there will be NO TICKETS AVAILABLE TO SELL.
• YOU CANNOT SELL YOUR TICKETS. NO RESALE TICKETS ALLOWED.
• IF YOUR TICKET INFORMATION DOES NOT MATCH YOUR IDENTIFICATION, YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY.

There are only 744 guest tickets available, and they must be purchased with a current 糖心少女 student ticket. If you would like a guest ticket, purchase your tickets early. Limit is one guest ticket per current 糖心少女 student ticket. Guests must be 18+ and provide a valid federal or state ID, and must enter with a current 糖心少女 student. Current 糖心少女 students MUST present a virtual ID in the 糖心少女 app.

Base ticket prices do NOT include Eventbrite taxes and fees. 

• KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
  • There is NO re-entry.
  • Check-in will start/gates will open at 2:30 PM. Gates close at 5:00 PM.
  • Beer Garden will stop serving alcohol at 6:10 pm
  • Students using a student ticket MUST present a current, digital 糖心少女 ID using the 糖心少女 app.
  • Guests MUST be 18+ and accompanied into the venue by a current 糖心少女 student.
  • Everyone entering the venue must present a valid state or federal ID (license, passport, military ID, etc.).
  • ID will be checked upon entry to the festival, and you will receive a wristband.
  • Attendees are allowed to bring their FESTIVAL 78-branded picnic blankets or their own picnic blankets. Each attendee is allowed to bring 1 picnic blanket. All picnic blankets will be checked and inspected by security before entering the venue.
  • No pets. Only SERVICE ANIMALS. 
  • No posters, banners, flags, or signs are permitted in the event. 
  • If you need to leave your vehicle overnight, there is overnight parking available EXCEPT for no overnight parking (12:00 am - 4:59 am) allowed in Lot L, 6th Level of PS1, Lot X, Y, & Z, or designated event areas in Lot B and Lot F. Parking Structure 2 is CLOSED (no parking) from 2:00 am - 5:00 am daily.
  • NO RESELLING TICKETS!

  • No refunds after April 10th, 2026
• DON'T FORGET TO BRING
  • Your ticket- digital is ok!
  • Your student ID, state, or federal ID
  • Card or Phone App for food and drinks
• WHAT NOT TO BRING
  • No guests who are under 18 years of age
  • No bags larger than 12x6x12."
  • No bags that are not clear
  • All bags will be checked by hired security upon entry
  • No refillable or disposable beverage containers - FREE water will be available inside the venue! Soft drinks and other beverages are available for purchase
  • No lighters, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, marijuana, pipes, or electronic smoking devices will be allowed inside the venue
  • No outside food or beverage (Guests with medical diets should speak with an ASI staff or email asicab@csusm.edu for assistance)
  • No chairs
  • No lawn chairs, no beach chairs, and no seat cushions
  • No cameras with a removable lens
  • No beach balls, frisbees, or anything designed to be thrown
  • No pets (including ESAs)
  • No laser pointers
  • No skateboards, scooters, bicycles, etc.
  • No knives or weapons of any sort
  • No umbrellas
  • No video cameras
  • No posters, banners, flags, or signs
  • No computers, tablets, or laptops
  • No poles or rods
  • No coolers
• APPROVED BAGS
  • CLEAR bags smaller than 12x6x12" (opaque or colored bags not permitted)
• IF YOU ARE 21+, PLEASE NOTE:
  • Valid state/federal ID is required to enter the beer garden (license, passport, military ID, etc.).
  • Your ID will be checked upon entry to the beer garden and when you place your drink order.
  • The bar will be a cash (you pay) bar. There will be NO ATM access, but credit cards will be accepted.
  • You'll want to remember this event! Please drink responsibly and avoid pre-gaming.
  • We want you to plan and have a sober ride home! Please consider using Uber or Lyft!
  • Individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted inside the event and may be asked to leave without a refund.
  • Beer garden stops selling alcohol at 6:10 pm and closes at 6:30 pm

  If you are 21+, come by to purchase beer, wine, and a couple of signature cocktails for guests 21+! Don't forget your valid state or federal ID!

• ARTS AND ACTIVITIES
  Make sure your phones are charged and bring your portable charger for some #instaworthy activities and installations!
• FOOD VENDORS

  First 400 attendees receive an entree voucher

Volunteering 

Festival 78 2026 volunteer applications are currently closed

• If you are planning to volunteer the day BEFORE Festival 78. DO NOT BUY YOUR TICKET. At the end of your volunteer shift, you will be given a code to redeem your free Festival 78 ticket 
• IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO VOLUNTEER THE DAY OF FESTIVAL 78, you will receive your code at the beginning of your shift
