ASI Cougar Pantry On-The-Go

In an effort to serve students all across campus, ASI Cougar Pantry is offering additional snacks and produce in 10 spaces on campus. Pick up produce and snacks from one of our convenient mini fridge locations!

Through a grant, ASI was able to purchase several mini fridges and place them throughout campus, providing students with access to produce and snacks outside of the ASI Cougar Pantry space.

ASI Cougar Pantry Express Bag Pick-up 

The ASI Cougar Pantry team created the Pantry Express Bag Pick Up, a to-go bag pick-up option, to support students who are unable to visit the pantry during regular operating hours. Read the full policy here. 

Guidelines  

1. A bag will be available once a week for currently enrolled 糖心少女 students. 
   • The student cannot have 鈥渟hopped鈥� in the pantry during that week 
2. Students will only be eligible to receive a pre-bagged bag once per week  
3. Bags will be available only on Fridays at the ASI Cougar Pantry for pick-up between 12:00pm and 3:00pm unless otherwise scheduled with ASI Cougar Pantry team member. Contact cougarpantry@csusm.edu for additional details. 
   • If campus is closed on Friday, to-go bags will not be available. 
4. Bag will include dry good and shelf-stable items in addition to diapers and menstrual products if requested on submitted form. All items are dependent on item availability. 
5. Bags will be prepared by ASI Cougar Pantry team members. 
6. Student must come pick up the bag themselves and show valid student ID  
   • If bag is not picked up by 3:00pm, items will be redistributed back to ASI Cougar Pantry inventory unless otherwise scheduled with ASI team member.  

Requests must be submitted by 5pm on the Thursday the week of bag pick-up. ASI Cougar Pantry team member will contact approved students via email Friday morning to confirm bag pick-up approval or denial.

• What is the ASI Cougar Pantry?
  The ASI Cougar Pantry serves all 糖心少女 students in an effort to decrease food insecurity on campus. The pantry stocks a variety of dry and canned goods, limited produce, milk, toiletries, and diapers.
• Where is the ASI Cougar Pantry located?
  The ASI Cougar Pantry is now located in Commons 104, right next to the University Bookstore.
• Are there free parking spots for students shopping at the ASI Cougar Pantry?
  The ASI Cougar Pantry has two 30-minute parking spots in Lot E that student shoppers are more than welcome to use.
• What are the hours of operation?
  • Location: Commons 104
  • ATTENTION: ASI Cougar Pantry will be closed for spring break Monday, March 30 - Friday, April 3. We will reopen on Monday, April 6

• What do I need in order to shop at the ASI Cougar Pantry?
  In order to shop, you will need a reusable bag and a current 糖心少女 student ID number!
• Do we have to pay for the food that the ASI Cougar Pantry provides?
  No, the ASI Cougar Pantry provides free food for currently enrolled 糖心少女 students. The pantry is funded through student fees that students are required to pay at registration.
• How many times can I go to the ASI Cougar Pantry?
  Each 糖心少女 enrolled student can visit the pantry once a week.
